A group of 14 students from Pima Community College (PCC) and University of Arizona (UA) were selected to be the first cohort of the IESTE Program. Lead by PI Dr. Greg Ogden, students are attending a 1-credit class where they are learning about the latest solar research and infrastructure as well as key skills needed to be successful in a solar-focused career. Interns come from a variety of programs at PCC, including electrical, medical, and engineering. Students from UA are in the School of Engineering, and include majors in mechanical, systems, and chemical and environmental.  Interns will be working in teams this summer throughout the Tucson area on different projects, from research focused on agrivoltaics to residential and commercial solar installation.
